The momentum on both sides of the political divide is not a fleeting current that will merely stall and dissipate. It is a roaring freight train of conviction, energy, and belief, hurtling forward with unstoppable force.

America is reeling from yet another mass school shooting, this time in Uvalde, Texas. Both political parties have offered their solutions: the left demands tighter gun control and the ban of assault rifles, while the right calls for increased school security, social media surveillance and an early-warning system created by red flag laws.
Neither solution addresses the real question. What in our culture has changed to cause such an increase of beastly violence in American young men? Is this a question over a choice of weapon or does it point to a deeper problem inherent in human nature?
