Repentance – the Gateway to Community

“When I remember what manner of man I am, I don’t dare take a step without God. But when I forget my sinful nature, I just focus on what He did for me and try my best to live without Him.”

A Father’s Joy

Each week, my mind swirls with topics to write about—Scripture, missions, shifting legal tides, politics. Yet, again and again, I return to the same subject: my family. My children are my highest joy, my deepest focus. I want to see families thrive, marriages endure, and children grow in faith. Critics may misunderstand our way of life, but they do not offer something greater—only noise. The true gift is this: a life rooted in love, faith, and the flourishing of the next generation.

A Life Poured Out: The Joy of Serving Beyond Ourselves

Our recent ministry trip to Mexico was a powerful reminder that true joy is found in serving others. From deep fellowship with believers to witnessing our children embrace the work of the kingdom, we saw firsthand how God’s love transforms lives. Whether through preaching, music, or simple acts of service, this journey affirmed that we were created not for self-fulfillment, but to love, give, and pour ourselves out for Christ. As we reflect on the relationships built, the lessons learned, and the grace given, we are reminded that the greatest purpose in life is to glorify God and serve His people with joy.

The Stones Cry Out

Greetings! On the morning of our last day in London, my phone buzzed. It was a message from Caleb, who had been with us on the trip: “Good morning! I wanted to let y’all know that I scheduled a visit to the Tower of London this morning at 11 o’clock.” My school-age study of history […]

The Roots of Bitterness: Sacrifice, Envy, and the Fate of Cain

Greetings, Church Family and Friends! Over the past few days, I have had the privilege of hearing and engaging with many brilliant voices concerned about the direction of Western culture while here in London. The rallying cry has been clear: “This is a civilization moment—the call is going out for people to get on board […]

Creation’s Testimony: The Power of Coming Together

What an extraordinary time to be part of the Church. There’s a tangible sense of anticipation in the air, and we felt it powerfully this past Sunday. Many believe God has granted us a season of peace—perhaps even prosperity—and that we must seize this moment. But not for our own gain. This is a time to build, to strengthen the Kingdom, to prepare the way.

Vanity or Eternal Purpose

I wanted to take a few moments to share some of the realities, insights, and losses our family has been facing. A week ago today, I preached my grandfather’s funeral—memorializing a 97-year-old gentleman who bore witness to humility, integrity, and childlike faith in God. Then, last night, as we were still gathered at the supper table, my phone rang. My grandma—Grandpa’s lifelong partner and soulmate—had passed away, exactly one week to the day after his funeral.

An Invitation to Trust

Fear often holds us back—hesitation keeping us on the edges, afraid to step forward into something unknown. But trust is not weakness when it arises in response to the undeniable Voice of our Shepherd. In this scenario, trust is always strength, an act of courage that leads us beyond fear and into purpose.

Dairy Days and Disaster

It all started that cold January morning when my alarm clock rattled me out of blissful dreams. I tumbled down from my top bunk, pulled on my trousers, buttoned my shirt and grabbed my gray felt cowboy hat—stained, crumpled, and missing a corner—from beneath my brother’s stack of hats. It was Tuesday: my morning to milk.

Everyday Miracles

How many miracles is God performing in our lives that we don’t even see because our hearts are hardened? And so we ask, “What miracle will You perform for us that we might believe?” Yet, as Jesus told them, “You’re not following Me for the miracles but because you ate bread and are full.” He was saying they were not looking for spiritual fulfillment from above, from the source of transcendence, but for natural, material fulfillment from below, from the immanent world.
